Kathmandu; Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC) hiked the price of petroleum products by a notable amount to be effective from Saturday midnight.

According to the NOC, it has increased the price of petrol by Rs 2 per liter, while those of diesel and kerosene by Rs 6 per liter each. Likewise, the market price of cooking gas has been increased by Rs 215 per cylinder.

Similarly, aviation turbine fuel (ATF) for domestic use is dearer by Rs 8 per liter and that for international flight is expensive by USD 60 per kiloliter.

At the revised rate, petrol now costs Rs 182.50 per liter, while diesel and kerosene each costs Rs 176.50 per liter. Similarly, the market price of cooking gas has reached Rs 2,110 per cylinder. The prices of ATF for domestic use and international flight have gone up to Rs 144 per liter and $ 1.095 per liter, respectively.

According to the NOC, it has raised the prices in accordance with the revised rates of petroleum prices by the Indian Oil Corporation.
