Young Hydropower Entrepreneur Awarded

Kathmandu, The government has honored hydropower entrepreneur Sushil Pokharel with 'Suprabal Jana Sewa Shree (fourth class). He was conferred along with other recipients by the President at a special ceremony last Friday. Pokharel, who started as an entrepreneur at a young age, was recognized for contributing to promote entrepreneurship in the hydropower and IT sector.

Currently, he is leading three different hydropower projects, including the Myagdi Khola hydropower project. With his various business firms, mainly in the tech and clean energy sector, he has successfully brought foreign investment and employment in several hydropower projects and IT industries. Pokharel has also played a key role in connecting the local start-ups to Silicon Valley, the world's top tech hub
