KATHMANDU; Gumu Khola Bhyakure Hydropower Project is issuing 500,000 units of its initial public offerings (IPO) for the general public and project-affected local people.

The hydropower company, in this regard, has appointed RBB Merchant Banking as the issue and sale manager for the IPO.

The agreement has been signed by the hydropower company's Chairperson Mitra Bahadur Shrestha and RBB Merchant's Chief Executive Officer Badri Prasad Pyakurel.

The Gumukhola Bhaykure Hydropower Project  is located in Kalinchok Rural Municipality of Dolakha district. Based on run-of-river type, the project has a total installed generation capacity of 950 kilowatts.

This project is generating about 5.6 gigawatt hours of electricity annually. The electricity generated by the project will be connected to the Singati Substation of the Nepal Electricity Authority through a 33 kV transmission line, according to the hydropower company.
