NMB and ICIMOD Collaborate to Promote 'Green Financing'

Kathmandu: NMB Bank Limited and the International Centre for Integrated Mountain Development (ICIMOD) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at promoting sustainable and climate-resilient development.

This initiative seeks to link science-based knowledge and solutions with financial opportunities to enhance the effectiveness of the green financing sector in Nepal.

Under this collaboration, ICIMOD’s expertise in research, technical knowledge, and capacity building will be integrated with the Bank’s financial sector expertise. This partnership is expected to facilitate the identification of sustainable projects and investment opportunities that support environmental conservation, mitigate the impacts of climate change, and enhance the resilience of local communities.

NMB Bank has been consistently advancing environmentally friendly and responsible financial practices, placing a high priority on sustainable and green banking.
